SEO & AI SEO
Being found — in Google, in Maps, and now in the assistants people ask instead of searching.
What is AI SEO, and is it different from normal SEO?
It is the work of being found when somebody asks an assistant instead of typing into Google. It overlaps with ordinary SEO — clear pages, real answers, structured data — but it is stricter in one way: assistants quote only a handful of sources per answer, so being roughly relevant is not enough.
How do I get ChatGPT to recommend my business?
Two halves, and only one is on your website. On the site: pages that answer real questions in plain language, structured data that says exactly what you do and where, and a robots file that lets the AI crawlers in. Off the site: being mentioned consistently elsewhere — Reddit, YouTube, directories, local press. Assistants look for agreement across independent sources before they name anyone. Anyone promising you a guaranteed mention is selling something they do not control.
How long before SEO shows results?
Local search and your Google profile can move in weeks. Ranking for competitive terms takes months, and anyone who tells you otherwise is guessing. We would rather show you the first small wins early than promise a big one late.
What is the single most valuable SEO thing for a local business?
Your Google Business Profile, properly filled in and kept alive — real photos, correct hours, services listed, and a reply to every review. For a restaurant, salon, clinic or garage it beats almost anything else you could spend the same effort on.
Do I need to write blog posts?
Only if you have something to say that your customers actually want to know. Thin posts written for search engines do nothing now — both Google and the assistants are good at spotting them. One genuinely useful page beats twenty filler ones.
What does SEO cost?
It depends on what is already there. Setting up a Google Business Profile properly is a small, one-off job; competing for search terms is ongoing work with an ongoing cost. We will tell you which one your business actually needs, and they are often not the same.
