Music promotion

Getting a release in front of people who listen to music like yours.

Do you buy streams or playlist placements?

No. Bought streams get detected and removed, the platform can penalise the release, and none of those listeners ever come to a show or buy anything. What we run is advertising aimed at real people who already listen to artists like you.

What does music promotion actually involve?

A pre-save page so day one does not start from zero, paid campaigns aimed at the right listeners, visuals and clips to post through the release window, and a plan for the four weeks after release — which is when most artists go quiet, and when the algorithm is still deciding.

Can you guarantee playlist placement?

No, and nobody honest can. Editorial playlists are chosen by people at the platform. We pitch properly and on time, and we build the things that make a pitch credible — but a guarantee would be a lie.

When should I start promoting a release?

Three to four weeks before it comes out. The first day's numbers are what the platforms react to, and those numbers come from people who already knew it was coming.

What does music promotion cost?

Two separate things: what we charge to plan and run it, and what you spend on advertising, which goes to the platforms rather than to us. We keep those apart on purpose so you always know which is which.
